Transportation options
By taxi:
Taxis and shuttles are available from the airport, departing from the islands situated in front of the terminal building.

By rail: Local commuter trains, Metrolink and Amtrak, both serve the airport station, situated on Empire Avenue, at the south entrance of the airport. The station is within walking distance, but there is also another option: an airport tram shuttles passengers the short distance to the station. Metrolink services run regularly to Los Angeles Union Station and other destinations. The Amtrak 'Pacific Surfliner' train travels between San Diego and San Luis Obispo and stops at Burbank Bob Hope Airport 10 times daily (five northbound, five southbound). The five southbound trains stop at LA Union Station and four continue on to Orange County and San Diego. After departing Bob Hope, the northbound Pacific Surfliner stops in Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. To obtain more information, call 1 800 USA RAIL or visit www.amtrak.com.

By bus:
Bus: The MTA public buses serve the airport. They run to Hollywood (bus no.163), Burbank (bus no.165) and downtown Los Angeles (bus no.94).
